Safety James Sample Talks a Leader and an Announcement

As the season is winding down, more and more recruits are coming off the board. That means that college programs have less of a pool to draw from, and need every bit of recruiting time left. The Pac 10 is a conference that has battled hard this year, and it looks like there may be another battle to land one of the top recruits left on the board. Safety James Sample (6’2″, 195 lbs) out of  Grant High School, in Sacramento, California is rated as the fourteenth best safety prospect in the country and a four star according to Rivals.com. Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins Commits to Clemson

Crawford who plays both quarterback and safety for Fort Myers recently committed to play for Michigan. Running Back Justice Hayes Decommits from Notre Dame, Names New Top Three

Michigan running back Justice Hayes (5’10″, 180 lbs) has decommitted from Notre Dame. Hayes was the only running back commitment for Brian Kelly and has decided to reopen his recruitment. Hayes says that his new top three schools are Tennessee, Michigan, and Notre Dame (in no order).

Florida State building a monster class

The Florida State Seminoles have never really had a problem recruiting great talent. In the past five years alone the Seminoles classes have been ranked 3rd, 21st, 9th, 7th, and 10th in the nation. You’d think then that FSU’s record would be similar, right? Wrong. In both 2006 and 2007 the Seminoles finished 7-6. In 2008 they managed a very solid 9-4 finish, before falling back to 7-6 in 2009. 2012 Quarterback Zeke Pike in High Demand

The NCAA recently changed a rule regarding written offers to juniors in high school. The new rule says that juniors, who used to be able to receive written offers September of their junior year, can’t be given a written offer from a college program until August before their senior year. The Wisconsin Badgers find themselves in the midst of a Big Ten Title Race and are BCS hopefuls, but while Head Coach Bret Bielema and his staff are preparing their team for their next game, they are also recruiting very well at the moment too.

Looking at the Badgers current commitment list won’t blow you away – it never will – but with national signing day still a good three months away, the Badgers are sitting solid with 20 commitments.
